2020!?

We will be able to upload our brains into the internet. We will be able to browse as if we were walking around town. Virus will be a bigger issue for this though if they were to get download into your brain. It could also cause world domination if someone were to create a way of controlling our brains via internet. 2020 would be a very exciting yet scary time with our technology rising up.

Ad Deconstruction

I have seen commercial and ads to nutrisystem everywhere. These commercials keep telling you that in order to look great you need to look thin. They make people who are not thin feel not so great looking. I choose this ad because I am constantly reminded to loose weight. I want to see how much truth there is to these ads that make you believe such things.
Deconstructing time:
Association: People see the picture of the woman in her before picture and after picture showing that she indeed has "lost" her weight with this product. People now desire to be like this woman.
Bribery: There will be individual counseling for free.
Plain Folks: The woman in the ad looks like an ordinary lay who has lost weight with this system. It makes you believe you can also.
Repetition: " I went on nutrisystem and lost..." Repeating these words to convince you into trying the product.

The Super Bowl

What do people eat when watching the Super Bowl? They usually have chips , soda, beer, burgers and other junk food. The reason the Super Bowl allows the advertising is because that is what people like to eat. It is a reminder of the new junk food there is. Advertisers are willing to pay 3 million dollars for 30 second ads and the Super Bowl ain't complaining.

Your Vote~

At the time of the presidential elections was going on, I was not of legal age yet. People asked me "who are you supporting?" I would respond, Obama. I am now of legal age and may vote for the next election. I think about it now and I don't think I will be voting. why? I can't believe anything the presidents say. I see every president the same. I wonder, must presidents bash each other during elections? why can't they keep their so called promises? No matter if I decide to vote or not. I will be stuck with a lame president either way.

Character

Character. Where has that gone ? In todays society Image and character are now mixed. Image seems to be abit more then just plain character. We use it everywhere. We even use it on presidential elections. The president must have a good visual appeal too? Oh yes because The united States really does need a good looking president to lead it. Not. Way back in history we took presidential elections seriously. But now it doesn't seem so. Finding anything to bash the candidate with. Looking at every possible flaw. Next time lets try his character and judge on that.

Downloading Music

Downloading music is what alot of people do nowadays. I find it more convenient then going out to a buy a CD. I tend to like one song out of the whole CD and find it a waste of money.
My opinion on downloading music illegally is that it is something that shouldn't be done. The thing is there are alot of programs out there that allow you to. People get tempted and do it. It isn't fair to the musicians. They work hard on theirs songs and yet people don't pay for their hard work. If I were a musician it would make me sad to know that my music wasn't really being apperciated and neither was I as the musician.

Music and I

Back in my childhood I would wake up to soft Latino music. My mother would play it on the boombox she had. My cousins who were older, played hip-hop. Growing up through my childhood years listening to a variety of music made me experience a whole lot of genres some I like and some I don't care for much.

I am 18 years old and still listen to a variety of music. From Selena to NIN to Japanese rock to Korean pop. I tend to get bored of the songs I listen to and search for more constantly. I usually find songs i like through various methods which range between video sites like You tube to just plan listening to the radio, Sometimes i pick up songs off friends to add to my collection.

Living with the people I live with currently still has me listening to a bunch of genres, I do not mind it is actually quite fine. My friends also listen to music a lot and i enjoy it, Except the times when they play the same song over and over or when they play the music too loud...

My mother and father don't like my choice of music. They both listen to different types. My dad likes what is called Norteña and my mother likes different types like English and Latino music depending on the song. I believe I picked up on what my parents listened as I grew up because I still listen to some of the music, And then again some of it I now don't like as much.

My mom listens to the radio a lot, in the car ,in the kitchen. even in the bathroom sometimes and even when shes going to bed. Its mostly always on a Latino music station. I like listening to it but sometimes I would rather just switch to a station I like more. Even though they do not like my type of music and complain, they let me listen to it. All tho I'm sure even if they said I couldn't, I still would listen to what I want too.

Music people listen to as children have a big impact on what they want to listen to when they grow up. Even as the years go by people still listen to old time bands like The Beetles and Kiss because they experienced it when they we're growing up. I believe even as the generations of people pass by that all music even the older bands and singers will still be listened to because they we're subject to listening to it while they we're children.
